Research : Sancaklar Mosque

 

Sancaklar Mosque by Emre Arolat Architecture 

Sancaklar Mosque by Emre Arolat . Especially landscape of this structure creating  contrast to the nature by stone walls, stairs through  the main structure  (Mairs, 2015) inspired me for my pavilion landscape design and the materials I am going to use as well .

Stone wall and stairs through to the entrance of this structure amazed me and inspired and as a final I made it relevant  landscape design for around my pavilion . The  natural materials  of this project like stone minimises the carbon footprint (RIBA, 2018)  in addition these natural surroundings causes the comfortable and peaceful environment (ArchDaily, 2014) which is it is one of my main aims for the residents of my project .

Communal spaces  of this structure is relevant to my pavilion design by the surrounding stone benches outside of the pavilion . 

“The project constantly plays off of the tension between manmade and natural."  Team said  (Mairs, 2015) .Mainly my project pavilion landscape design and the stonewalls relevant to Sancaklar Mosque .
