Development Sketches 1

My initial sketches mainly inspired from mountain laurel however first initial sketch is only focused the fact it is a primary school .

So I draw half cylindrical shape and I tried to demonstrate the entering really obviously so I kept blank of the centre and I add wooden which is white oak lean to cover it . I draw colourful circular shaped additional windows to add more movement and fun effect to design for children whom is my mine target audience . Right half of the building surrounded with white oak lean-to so children can play under it without effect from rain and sun .



I inspired by mountain laurel flower which is one of the symbol of the Connecticut state . I choose the draw as a half flower with leaf shaped wings so each wing can serve for different purposes . I used soft pink colour for the façade and middle leaf shaped wing of the structure I partly kept empty paralleled to leaf shaped so it will be entering to the building. Front of the building surrounded with white oak lean-to as a coverage to whether conditions for the children so it can be served as a waiting and playing area .





At this sketch I draw the leaf shaped wings with more distance and draw a canopy between two wing . (I will keep going writing )
